The fight we’ve all been waiting for is now on! These two great fighters haven’t disguised there obvious hatred for each other, and if it wasn’t for setback after setback with injuries these two would have done battle prior to UFC 98.

Originally Rashad “Sugar” Evans was originally penned in to fight Quinton Jackson, but “Rampage” had to pull out prior to the fight as he was struggling with injurys to his knee ligaments as well as a injury to his jaw which won’t come as a surprise as he has been in demand in recent Months, and this would have been his third fight in 6 Months!

Although this fight will receive far less media coverage then the much anticipated Evans Vs Jackson fight would have serious fight fans will know this is definitely not going to be a walk over for Rashad. Lyoto holds a perfect record of 14-0 and has notched up wins against both Tito Ortiz and Thiago Silva.

UFC 98 Matt Serra Vs Matt Hughes

I’m positive this fight is going to go down as one of 2009′s best encounters. Although we haven’t seen the best of Matt Hughes in a while, i’m convinced he will be pulling out all the stops for this fight. He’s coming off of two successive defeats against Georges St-Pierre and more recently Thiago Alves. Matt “The Terror” Serra has also recently lost to Georges St-Pierre, although like Hughes he has a win against Pierre.

Who’s going to win this fight? To be honest I really don’t know. BookMaker has Hughes as a favourite but if he performs like he has recently I don’t think he will beat Serra. I have placed a small wager on a Serra win over at BookMaker because the odds are really good and I think the odds should be much closer then the bookies seem to think.

Sean Sherk Vs Frank Edgar

This is another pretty big fight, on what looks like a great UFC 98 card. Sherk, former UFC lightweight champion, is making his comeback after being banned for 6 months for failing a drugs test. Sherk, now 35, is looking to bounce back and put his name back in the spotlight, for the right reasons as he takes on one of the leading fighters in the 155lb division, Frank Edgar. Bodog puts sherk as a favourite in this encounter, which may be surprising to some ufc fans who follow the odds as he hasn’t been in action for a while and is also the much older fighter.

This looks to be a great fight. UFC legend and former Light Heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell does battle with the up and coming Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. Chuck is looking to avenge a recent loss to Rashad Evans at UFC 88. Other losses on Chuck’s record include a some what controversial split decision loss against Keith Jardine and a first round stoppage from the talented Quinton Jackson.

This looks to be one of the best fights of the UFC Fight Night 18 line up. Escudero is currently undefeated (12-0-0) and has a strong wrestling background which has without a doubt helped him develop his ufc fighting style.
