This is set to be one of the biggest UFC fights in history. Former WWF superstar turned MMA fighter, Brock Lesnar versus the experienced, wiser Randy Couture do battle for Randy’s UFC Heavyweight title.

Early bookmaker odds show very little in the odds, so they can’t seem to pick a winner between the two. Brock Lesnar has only had 3 MMA fights to date, but with a recent very impressive domination of Heath Herring he has proved himself a worthy opponent of UFC legend Randy Couture. Brock’s likely to out power Couture in this fight, as he has done to all his previous opponents but will Randy prove to classy for Lesnar? This is still very unclear and if he does Randy is likely to walk away victorious.

Couture Vs Lesnar (Brains Vs Power)

This is what is likely to seal the win for either fighter. Couture is a very clever fighter, he uses his abundance of technique to force his opponent in to making errors and capitalises on these with his deadly accurate strikes. Lesnar has had few fights to prove himself in the UFC, and from the two UFC fights he has had he has lost one of them via submission against Frank Mir.

While Randy has had few wins via submission it is clear that Couture possesses the better submission technique of the two fighters, and if any of the fighters will win by submission I would have to say it would be Randy. Although if the fight was taken to the ground It would probably be more advantageous for Brock, with such imposing power the ground is definitely where he could use this to his advantage the most.

Final Thoughts

I’m going to place a bet on Randy Couture winning. With his experience and octagon awareness I can see him winning this fight probably by K.O late on in the fight.
